Look in this months issue of 'Quick Quilts' issue #55, for Jean Ann Wrights new quilt pattern, 'Lariats & Ladies'. Jean Ann made the quilt using Bentley's 'Country Rainbow' and 'Bumblebee' fat quarter collections.

Thanks to all the shop owners that we met at the International Quilt Market in Kansas City! It was a super show and we really enjoyed the opportunity to meet you and show you our line. Thanks so much for the overwhelmingly positive comments and especially for the orders! Here's a picture of our booth at the show!
Notice Bentley's photograph on the table! We would have loved to have brought him with us, but he was there in spirit!!
This beautiful Sunbonnet Sue & Sam quilt was made by our friend Angela Huddart from the UK! Angela had some 30's print scraps she had been saving to make this quilt and when we introduced the 30's line, Angela was inspired to realize the quilt. We love the use of color - quite striking. Here's a couple of close ups:
Here's what Angela said about creating this quilt: I didn't use a pattern...just made it up as I went along! I just cut around the blocks, bordered them with 1" strips of fabric and joined the completed 12" blocks with sashings of the multicoloured stripe fabric. The quilt measures 42" x 55" and is backed with a multicoloured 'tie-dye' effect fabric which I also used for the binding. Thanks for sharing with us Angela!!
Lynne Munoz sent us this wallhanging. It's made using Bentley's Bumbleberry collection and uses one of the neutrals from Neutral n Nice. It looks great with the Stacked Crows Lynne made.
This cute design is called 'Picking Pumpkins From the Heart - #189' by Pieces from my heart - A division of Gervais Corp, 2001. The ISBN # is 6-43779-00189-4. It can be purchased from your local quilt shop.
The pattern is actually for a pillow - but Gerri decided to make it into a wall hanging instead and it looks great!! This fall / halloween cat is made using some or our new collections: "Harvest Gold", "BumbleBerry" and "Bumble Bee". Gerri used old buttons from her button jar for the eyes, a thick black thread to do the applique by machine and the cat's face was done with #310-DMC embroidery thread.

Gerri has sent us another table runner that she whipped up. This new project uses our Country Rainbow collection along with some additional blues from our Quilter's Dozen of Blues collection. Gerri is mad for plaids and table runners! The pattern is in the "Mostly Table Runners - A Collection of Twelve Classic Patterns" by Calico Printworks. It is featured on the inside front cover, with directions beginning on page 24. The pattern uses Kathi's Half Squares All Around, designed by Kathi Mundigler. She calls for 18 -- 2 1/2" X 20" strips for the body of the runner. Gerri used 36 to get the extra long length she was looking for. This means that I had to add an additional 36 - 3" squares to the already required 52 squares! Whew - aren't rotary cutters great!!
Gerri used a coordinating a dark green solid fabric from RJR and also "Sugar House" by Thimbleberries also from RJR Fashion Fabrics. The "Sugar House" pattern has persimmons with varigated green leafs on a gold background which she used for the backing on the table runner. It is the perfect compliment to all the fall colored plaids she used on the table topper!
Our friend, Lynne Muñoz sent us her project "Stacked Crows Wallhanging". Lynne modified her "Stacked Crows" from Debbie Mumm's Country Quilts book, page 105. Lynne used Bentley's Bumble Bee and Bumble Berry collections to make this wallhanging.
Our friend, Gerri G. of Camano Island, Wa has been very busy and having lots of fun with Bentley's plaids. Gerri has made "Table Runner Trio" by designer Peggy Kotek. This pattern can be found on pages 32--35 in the Better Homes and Gardens 'Weekend Quilts' booklet #1943 at your local quilt store. Gerri modified the design by taking out the Monkey Wrench square and adding another paper pieced Star Block.
Bentley's fabric collections used to create this project are 'Patriots' and 'Old Glory'. In addition, Moda's 'White Star' print is used as the neutral background fabric.
And finally, Gerri used stitch in the ditch machine quiltiing to finish the tablerunner. Overall, the project took about 12 hours, so it really is a weekend project!
And with the leftover bits and pieces, Gerri also made this log cabin pillow.
